Teaching Plan

1.1 Curriculum

The agreement I had with my mentor was that she’d give me a general topic (e.g. Business English) and it would be up to me to choose the specific topic to teach(e.g. I chose Writing a Job Application Letter)

1.2 Teaching plan related to your major

The teaching plan I prepared stated the objectives of my lesson, the motivation, the discussion proper and the assessment. I included the instructions and mechanics to the activity I used for my teaching plan. Each part of the teaching plan includes thorough details of how the discussion will happen.

1.3 Others

A note I can add is that it is quite important to plan ahead of one’s classes. Allotting a safety net when it comes to planning allows one to evaluate one’s work after the initial plan; meaning, one can still make changes and adjustments before the actual discussion. Cramming is luxury that we cannot always afford to have. It can rather be more harmful to our work habits and productivity. Thus, it is important for a teacher to plan ahead and always be one step ahead of the class.
